Join us August 28th from 5PM until 9PM for the Berkeley County/Martinsburg City Fire Department House on Wheels Safety Trailer. The home is a trailer with a second story that is modeled just like a home with a living room with a fireplace, a second-story bedroom and a kitchen. Inside the “House on Wheels,” kids can learn about “hot” doors as well as staying low to the ground away from smoke to escape and other fire safety information.
With a primary focus on first responder and municipal worker education, FirstEnergy representatives will use an electrical safety demonstration trailer with a live 7,200-kV single phase distribution system to show the power of electricity, how an electrical system operates, how to recognize unsafe and dangerous conditions and, most importantly, how to stay safe around power lines and electrical equipment.

On Saturday, August 31st, from 1PM until 6PM the South Morgan VFD will be hosting a Ham & Fried Chicken Dinner. This dinner is a crowd pleaser every year, and with the success of the South Morgan VDF Fireman's Carnival, we know this one will be a huge event!
Visit the South Morgan Volunteer Fire Department's Food Pavilion at this year's Fireman's Carnival for a delicious array of classic fair favorites! Our menu features hearty 1/4 lb. hamburgers and cheeseburgers, mouth-watering hot dogs, chili dogs, and sloppy joes, alongside nachos and fried country ham sandwiches. Don't forget to try everyone's favorite hand-dipped ice cream—a perfect treat to beat the heat! We'll also be serving a variety of beverages including sodas, waters, and coffee. Join us for a bite and a sip; we're open Tuesday through Friday from 5 PM to 10 PM, and Saturday from 12 PM to 10 PM. Fuel your fun and support your local volunteers with every delicious purchase!
On Friday, August 30th at 5:00PM, we'll be hosting our second annual Baby Contest! We'll have 1st and 2nd Prizes awarded from each of the following age groups: Newborn through 12 Months, 13 Months through 24 Months, 25 Months through 36 Months, and 37 Months through 48 Months! Boys and girls will be judged separately. Make sure to dress your baby in their cutest summer outfit!
